Some inks have to be absolutely, thoroughly dry after hours and hours to be fully waterproof. If the ink doesn’t say it’s waterproof, assume that it isn’t (Higgens Black Magic is, Higgens Eternal isn’t). Test any ink you buy for being waterproof – some that claim to be aren’t strictly what I would call waterproof.
